Joint-stock company Slovenské elektrárne

The joint-stock company Slovenské elektrárne had its inception 21 Janaury 2002 as a new entity from property substance and a successor in title to Slovenské elektrárne, a.s., from which Prenosová sústava and Tepláreň Košice separated as of the above date.

Ownership structure of SE, a.s. is the following: the National Property Fund owns 34 % and the company ENEL SpA owns 66 % of SE shares. The company´s line of business includes electricity generation, imports, exports, sales and distribution. SE, a.s., provides heat generation, sales. Joint-stock company SE is the operator of two nuclear power plants, two thermal power plants, and 34 hydroelectric power plants.
