Energy for the Country is a comprehensive social responsibility programme of Slovenské elektrárne. It covers all activities and projects in the social, cultural, environmental, educational and sports fields.
The Energy for the Country Programme supports selected projects through financial support in the form of advertising cooperation, a financial donation or a contribution from the Endowment Fund of Slovenské elektrárne , based on an application submitted by the entity implementing the project.
Financial support through the Energy for the Country programme can be obtained by a legal entity that submits online an interesting and innovative project that corresponds in its focus, content and location with the social responsibility strategy of the Slovenské elektrárne in one of the five following areas:
Energy for culture – development and protection of cultural values
Energy for Nature – protecting nature and the environment and preserving biodiversity
Energy for sport – prevention, health protection and development of sport activities
Energy for education – promotion and development of education
Energy for Life – charitable and philanthropic activities
The Energy for the Country programme can include projects with a nationwide scope (national level) or local projects (regional level), with preference given to projects from the areas where the Slovenské elektrárne power plants are located (nuclear power plants at Bohunice or Mochovce, thermal power plants at Nováky and Vojany, hydroelectric power plants at Trenčín and all more than 30 hydropower plant locations).
